Monthly Support That Meets Real Needs

Adopt A Warrior is a monthly giving program that connects compassionate donors with people living with sickle cell disease. Your recurring gift (starting at $5/month) goes directly to cover critical needs such as rides to medical appointments, groceries, utility bills, rent support, hospital visit packages, and caregiver respite. Donors receive a digital adoption certificate, quarterly impact updates, and the option to volunteer for visits. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Your monthly donations will aid warriors in several different areas:

Transportation Assistance

Covers ride-share, gas cards, or public transit for medical visits, treatments, and crisis follow-ups.

Utility Support

Helps keep essential utilities on during medically challenging months—electricity, water, and gas.

Food Assistance

Provides groceries, emergency meal boxes, or delivery services for Warriors in crisis or hospital recovery.

Partial Rent Support

Helps prevent eviction or displacement by covering a portion of rent during hardship months.

Hospital Visit & Care Packages

Provides volunteer visits, care packages, and emotional support during hospital stays.

Caregiver Respite (Sitting With a Warrior)

Gives caregivers a break by offering trained volunteers to sit with Warriors at home or in the hospital.

Burial & End-of-Life Assistance

Helps families cover urgent end-of-life expenses such as burial support, memorial arrangements, or essential bereavement needs.
